Army lowers expectations
Looking at the LA Times article "Army to Lower Bar for Recruits"
Army has decided to accept a greater number of recruits who score near the bottom of military aptitude tests, the secretary of the Army said Monday.
Does this mean those Republicans who can't serve, but want to, are now eligible?
Seems they fell short of their recruiting goals of 80,000 for 2005 by 7,000.
The DOA (Department of the Army or Dead on Arrival) can't find 7,000 Republicans? The 2004 election produced "Political Capitol" for the President, so they must exist somewhere.
You really have an issue when low income people won't join the military and Neo-Con flag wavers kids are "missing from action." The typical Bush supporter values the "Support Our Troops" in words not action. The excuse is something along the lines of "I'll support the effort from home."
"I had other priorities" said Cheney. Well, it looks like other priorites are shared among your supporters also Dick.

Donnie Rumsfeld was right, you really do go to war with the Army you have, not the one you want.
"Army was not lowering its standards but merely conforming to Department of Defense guidelines that allow up to 4% of each military service's recruiting class to be Category IV troops.
Shades of Lyndie English! Remember kids, if you are only effective 70% of the time you can rewrite the rules to make it equal 100%.
